We are offering a free, near-CD quality, DRM-free copy of our entire EP for download. We're doing this for several reasons:
1) We believe in file-sharing and there's no point being hypocritical. 2) We don't want bad rips of the record circulating. 3) This is a way for us to reach people we would not otherwise. 4) Maybe, just maybe, music should be free. Granted this is a very complicated thought that needs to be worked out, but for now the only music for which we can authoritatively determine as much is our own.
If you enjoy this CD, feel free to purchase a hard copy from our store or at a show. However, don't feel obligated to do so. We are most concerned with finding people of like mind who enjoy the music. Even if you don't buy the CD, you can help us by sharing these files with your friends, or (even better) sending them to these forums to download the record for themselves. If you do even this, you are supporting us. All that we ask is that you do not cut, edit, modify, transcode, re-tag, or otherwise ruin the files.
For the technically inclined, the CD was ripped using EAC, and then encoded using LAME 3.90.3 with the --alt-preset standard option. The artwork is provided as 300dpi resolution JPEG files.
To listen to the CD without downloading it, you can stream it using our Media Player.

[coral landing] just say that you’ve never seen us, and we’ll pretend that we never came. i’m covered with mosquitoes, but beaming all the same. as the heavy doors behind us stifle the last knives of light, we pray our hearts won’t fill with darkness (pockmarked prisms inside). the life we shed is left unsaid. you become more than what you are when buried in the leaves. all the trails split here so brake, fissures glowing in this break, all my habits i will break, watch this empty new day break, watch my fragile reason break, while the glorious new days break.
[dirt veins] son i’m inside the trees. who will split up their skin? menial, don’t let the fumes bring you down. martinet, if we are done here than we should get out. if i am dionysus, we’ll teach the earth to dance: until the forest tumbles, until the tulips are rooted in vacuums, sealed tight. down filthy streets we spread our reach, feeding on the sin. and every breath we took we lied through our teeth. the sidewalk fissures with our toil underneath your lives. and every chance we got we tried to break free. we’re inside – so count up your skin with your ears.
[ashen prayer beads] ()our eyes, they track me in my sleep. ()our eyes, they’re all I ever see. and I don’t know the reasons why feelings, visions and memories survive. no matter where i go, i will see ()ou there; no matter where, ()ou’ll carve a place inside my heart. swarming moments burn away all the weeks melt into days seconds ripple as they swell torn between my borsch and life buried under all these lies you lie and occupy a living dying place inside my heart wound carved into sand
[exhaustive tribute to the machinery of war] my throat caught on the air the prop was swallowing and like an emetic it returned to its nascent atmosphere with anxious haste. if the sky ever turns black like this again i think i will lay up the drywall and leave my body, build a fortress of abstractions and pass into the sky. not for escape, not for ignorance, but for responsibility and autoretribution. the coal is in my elbows.
[the realm of ends] i sat away, i sat in silence and wrote lines. row after row of doubt onto a white page. you sat away, and though these years and pews loomed between us like dried and toughened scars, i could feel your heart and hope beating beneath the dead skin. and it seems i can't walk around without my head down, but the joy and beauty on your sad face are enough to destroy this disposition. the knowledge that through suffering comes grace; there is no joy without pain.

You guys added my band on myspace and I'm grateful for it: your music is awesome. Superb ethereal prog rock! borsch the guitar textures and all the different layers and song dynamics. Will spread the word down here in Brazil. Good work and take care. Sergio.
